Craske in Shetland wool by charl knits
Inspired by the Norfolk Fishermen’s Gansey jumpers of the 19th and early 20th centuries, the Craske in 100% Shetland wool is a modern interpretation of a traditional Gansey. Crafted in Nottinghamshire from authentic 100% Shetland wool.
This cosy unisex jumper is slightly over-sized in fit; the ideal piece to pull on when the coastal breeze picks up. The high ribbed funnel neck can be worn up or folded down. The top half of the body is knitted in a heritage “hailstone” stitch found on the original Ganseys and trimmed with a wide rib at the hem which does not pull in.
A boxy shape with a gently curved hem line and slightly long sleeves.
S/M fits women sizes 10-12 and M/L fits women’s size 14/16.
S/M length from high point shoulder to hem at side seam 60cm. Width across chest 64cm. Across shoulders 63cm.
M/L length from high point shoulder to hem at side seam 62cm. Width across chest 67cm. Across shoulders 65cm
*there may be a slight variation in measurements of 1cm either way depending on colour. This is standard tolerance for knitwear.
